I help people buying a home in Eastern Sicily from abroad, and I work only for the buyer.
Why I Started Sicily Compass
I was born and raised near Catania. For years I’ve managed rental properties here and overseen their renovations, so I know the Sicilian buying process from the inside, from the paperwork and the timing to the checks that really matter.
Along the way I realised that people buying from abroad face the same obstacles I did, plus the distance, a language they don’t speak and a system that works differently from the one they know.

What I Bring
Hands-On Property Experience
Managing and renovating properties taught me the practical side, from repairs and maintenance to the tax and legal steps I handle together with accountants and lawyers.
Planning & Permits Know-How
Developing a four-villa project has shown me how technical offices, permits and building rules work in practice. I’m not a lawyer or an engineer, but I know what to look out for and who to call when a problem comes up.

We go through budget, lifestyle and timing. You get a written summary, the areas that fit you and a plan for your visit, before you book a flight.

Search & Viewings
I build a shortlist from agencies, private sellers and local contacts, check each property beyond the listing, schedule the viewings and come with you, translating along the way.

Purchase
I coordinate the surveyor, the lawyer and the notary, keep track of every deadline and explain each step in English, up to the final deed.
I’m not a real estate agent, a lawyer or a notary. Technical and legal checks are done by qualified professionals; my job is to guide you, translate and keep everything on track.
